RIFAN Flag-Off Distribution Of Farm Inputs In Yola

Wafari Theman, Adamawa state coordinator, Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria RIFAN, has appealed to the beneficiaries of farming inputs from the association in Yola South local government to make good use of the items to improve production.

Theman gave the charge while flagging-off distribution of farming inputs to farmers in the local government area held in Yola Friday.

The benefiting farmers from Bole-Yolde Pate, Mbamba, Sebore Njoboli among others.

“The program was initiated by President Muhammadu Buhari through the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN to assist farmers from the grassroots.”

“The aim of the program is to guarantee food security in Nigeria, and at the end of the harvest every benefitting farmer will pay back with farm produce,” He said.


Theman commended Lamido Adamawa Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa and District Head of Yola Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Mustapha for their support to RIFAN.

In his remark, the District Head of Yola, Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed saluted RIFAN for providing the inputs to farmers in his district and pledged his support for the success of the programme.

Earlier in his welcome address coordinator RIFAN, Yola South, Malam Bello Zubairu said the beneficiaries were selected in various communities through their ward head and urged them to make good use of the inputs to ensure bumper harvest.

There were goodwill messages from representatives of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Yola branch and Fidelity Bank Yola.

In an interview with newsmen, some of the beneficiaries, Malam Umar Yahya and Bello Bamanga expressed their appreciation RIFAN for the assistance and promised to make optimum use of the items.
