Christians in Adamawa commend Governor Fintiri for giving them sense of belonging

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been commended for giving Christians in Adamawa a sense of belonging as well as promoting equity, fairness and justice to all citizens devoid of sentiments.
The State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza made the commendation during the quarterly executive council meeting of the association held at the state CAN Secretariat in Yola.
The Bishop said the association is happy to partner with the present administration in promoting peace, inter-communal dialogue as well as just Adamawa state where people have equal opportunities.
He prayed to God to grant Governor Umaru Fintiri courage, wisdom to serve the state adding that the Christian association has noted with delight the developmental giant strides of the Fintiri led administration in the areas of peace and social justice.
Responding, Governor Umaru Fintiri urged Christian clerics not to relent in their prayers for peace, progress and stability which the state is enjoying since his administration came on board.
The Governor expressed regret on the way some people think and act differently on issues of common interests to the growth and development of the nation.
According to the Governor Umaru Fintiri, Adamawa has maintained its status as a peaceful state, despite conflicts and crises that had threatened it in the past and attributed this to government’s efforts in collaboration with other stakeholders.
He said his administration will do everything possible for lasting peace to prevail across in Adamawa while government will close gaps and the missing links to give every citizen his or her dues on a fair basis.
The governor stressed that his administration will not be distracted any comments or sentiments but remain determined to make Adamawa great through good governance, tolerance, promoting harmonious coexistence, and genuine reconciliation.
