Gov.Fintiri promises to flush out remnants of kidnappers in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Wednesday said his administration will continue to ensure that the remnants of kidnappers in Ganye Chiefdom and other parts of Adamawa will soon be flushed out from the state.

The Governor gave the assurance when he received stakeholders from Ganye Chiefdom on a thank-you visit in the Government House, Yola for appointing seventy two sons and daughters of the chiefdom into key positions under his administration.

The Governor who thanked them for the visit said the appointments are part of the fair share from the government to the people of the chiefdom adding that all those appointed were base on merit devoid of any political consideration.

He urged the people of the three local governments in Ganye Chiefdom to unite and foster peace by assisting security agencies with relevant information towards arresting the menace of kidnappings and other security threats bedevilling the area.

Earlier in his remark, Ganwari Ganye, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for carriying out Toungo electrification project, completing Ganye township road and rehabilitation of schools among other projects in Jada, Ganye and Tongou local governments.

The royal father recalled that Alhaji Umaru Fintiri while as Adamawa governor in acting capacity in twenty fourteen completed cottage hospital Jada and upgraded it to general hospital.

He assured him continued support and loyalty of the people of Ganye Chiefdom and called on the appointees from the Chiefdom to be good ambassadors and assist the Governor in moving the state to greater heights.

Meanwhile, earlier on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has received stakeholders from Michika local government who were in the Government House, to thank him for appointing twenty five indigenes of the area into key positions under his administration.

The Governor who expressed delight with the visit said the people of Michika deserved their fair share of appointments gotten and assured that his administration will continue to reach every nook and cranny of Adamawa with developmental projects in the remaining three years of tenure in office.

He urged people of Michika to avoid spreading negative utterances, calling on them to shun away division among them and support government adding that the present administration will continue to unite the people of Adamawa irrespective of religion or ethnic affiliation.

Earlier in his remark, the Spokesman of Michika delegation, Chief David Barau, a former deputy governor of the defunct Gongola State appreciated Governor Umaru Fintiri for appointing sons and daughters of the area and assured him support and solidarity of the people.
