Remains of late Sheikh Mukhtar Zailani buried in Yola Town

Hundreds of Muslims Wednesday converged on the residence of late Modibbo Zailani in Yola town for the funeral prayer of a renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Mukhtar Modibbo Zailani who died on Tuesday.

The funeral prayer was led by the senior brother of the deceased, Khalifa Hamidu Modibbo.

Shortly after the funeral prayer, Modibbo Sufyan Iman admonished Muslims to worship Allah sincerely and submit themselves to His will.

In his tribute, Khalifa Hamidu Modibbo Zailani enjoined Muslims to fear Allah, love one another and conduct themselves in line with the teachings of Islam.

Also in tribute through a representative, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi prayed Allah to repose the soul of Sheikh Muktar.

Aged fifty five, Sheikh Mukhtar Modibbo Zailani died on Tuesday in Yola after a brief illness.

He survived by three wives, thirteen children and siblings.
