Vice-Chairman,  Councillors In Shelleng LGA Took Oath Of Office

The Chairman, Shelleng local government Abubakar Musa Abba has sworn in Jemis kelke as the new Vice-chairman of the council, and the ten wards councillors in Shelleng Thursday.

Speaking at the ceremony, Abba tasked the newly elected vice chairman, and Councillors to discharge their responsibility diligently with open minds to the People of Shelleng so as to provide good governance.

The Chairman urged eligible voters of Shelleng to get their voter`s card to enable them exercise their franchise in the electoral process.

After the swearing the chairman granted audience to the Divisional Police Officer and heads of security agencies in Shelleng local government area and solicited their support to ensure the area is safe.

He thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and people of Shelleng for their support in the last local government election construction of sixty bed cottage hospital as well as the completion the road from Shelleng to Bakta.

He used the forum to felicitate Christians of Shelleng local government area for commemorating Good Friday and Easter Monday which is the most significant event in the Christian calendar.

Abba called on the Shelleng Christian to imbibe humility, discipline, perseverance, sacrifice and obedience as demonstrated during by Jesus Christ his life on earth.

 

The oath of office and allegiance was administered by the Chief Magistrate Franklin Jingi.

Responding the vice Chairman, James Kelje assured their commitment in discharging their duties.

The event was attended by friends relations PDP support.
