Village Heads in the Adamawa Emirate have been charged to fear Allah, do justice, and treat their subjects equally irrespective of their ethnic or religious inclinations.

Lamido Adamawa, Doctor Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa gave the charge Thursday at his palace in Yola while addressing some Village Heads and their entourage who paid him a thank you visit over their appointments.

 

Represented by Galadima Adamawa, Alhaji Mustapha Aminu, Lamido Adamawa cautioned them not to abuse their power and maltreat their subjects, and confiscate their land.

Lamido Adamawa also called on them to be loyal to the Adamawa Emirate Council, the State government, and their respective local governments and consult their ward heads, elders, and other stakeholders in the discharge of their duties.

Speaking in an interview, the new Village head of Mayo-Lamja in the Mayo-Belwa local government area Alhaji Hassan Bobboi assured the people of his domain of purposeful leadership for the development of the area and the state at large.

Alhaji Bobboi who is also the Maidala Mayo-Farang explained that he will carry everyone alone while discharging his duties.
