The Agaji Family Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in Yola has empowered five less privileges with fifty-thousand-naira cash each.

Presenting the money to the beneficiaries, Chairman of the organization Alhaji Arabi Mahmud, said the money will assist them to cater for their families, stressing that the group was set up to render assistance to the needy, orphans and offset medical bills of less vulnerable patients.

He said the organization will soon pay visit to some Correctional centres in the state offset fines of convicts with minor offences.

Also speaking, Sectary of Foundation Alhaji Mohammed Inuwa said women are the main target considering their peculiarities, adding that men will also be considered in their subsequent empowerment programmes.

He explained that beneficiaries are being screened before being considered for assistance, stressing that the foundation conduct its activities with contributions from its members.

Alhaji Inuwa said doors of foundation is open to everybody who wishes to contribute for the sake of humanity.
