The Laka Cultural Association of Nigeria, Adamawa State Chapter has launched the Maiden Edition of its Twenty Twenty-Two Almanac at an event held at Mahmud Ribadu Square Yola Auditorium Friday.

Speaking at the event, the Federal Commissioner Public Complaints Commission in charge of Adamawa who is also the chief Launcher, Alhaji Abubakar Jijiwa stressed the need for Laka people to promote their rich cultural heritage by learning and speaking their mothers tongue.

He commended Laka people for giving him the privilege to serve as the Chief Launcher and called on them to continue to be united, productive and law abiding.

The National President of Laka Cultural Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Shu’aibu Usman Leman pointed out that presenting the almanac is a milestone to Laka people in Adamawa.

He thanked all those who turned up for their support.

Earlier the chairman of the occasion, Professor Jackson Ishaku of Department of Geology, Modibbo Adama University Yola, called on Laka people to maintain the spirit by making the production of the almanac annual event.

Meanwhile the Annual Cultural Festival of Laka Cultural Association Association of Nigeria Adamawa state chapter comes up Saturday first January Twenty Twenty-Two at Mahmud Ribadu Square Jimeta from One o’clock in the afternoon.

Interested members of the public are invited.
