Governor Fintiri pledges to overhaul Government Secondary School Hong

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has unvailed plans by his administration to construct Pella Maiha road, college of education Hong road and the overhaul of the Government Secondary School Hong.

The Governor announced this on Saturday in Hong while flagging off construction of three point two kilometers of township roads in the Local Government which is to cost over one point one billion naira and will be completed in eight months.

He said three roads linking some communities to Hong local government area have already been completed by the present administration.

The Governor noted that investment in roads will ensure easy movement of humans and goods leading to economic growth and urged traditional rulers to speak to their subjects on the need to give the contractors the necessary support.

In his remark, the Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar applauded Governor Fintiri for embarking on such projects and gave the assurance that the ministry will ensure strict supervision.

On his part, the representative of Rocad Construction Limited Engineer Jibrin Saidu said the firm is delighted to be awarded the contract promising to ensure quality work and solicited for the cooperation of residents.

The District head of Hong Alhaji Babangida Mahmud in a remark commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for keeping to his Campaign promise assuring him of their unwavering support.

He appealed to the Governor to revive the Hong booster station of Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation ABC Yola so as to keep people at the grassroots a brace of government policies and programmes.

The Chairman of Hong Local Government Area Mr James Pukuma in a vote of thanks reiterated their support to Governor Umaru Fintiri in his effort to move Adamawa forward.
