Commissioner reiterates Fintiri Commitment to providing developmental strides

Adamawa state Government has given assurance that it will soon provide needed farming inputs to farmers with a view to boosting food production in the state.

The State Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr Aloysius Babadoake disclosed this to ABC Reporter in an interview at the Broadcasting House in Yola.

He said Government through its Adamawa agribusiness programme will not only provide fertilizer and other farming implements but also empower farmers to enable them increase food production.

Mr Babadoake added that in due course Cattle markets in Mubi, Ganye and Ngurore among others will be upgraded to improve revenue generation to the state government.

The Commissioner said within two years in office, the Fintiri led administration has performed creditably well in the areas of Health through building and renovation of cottage and general hospitals, education through declaring free education as well as infrastructural development by construction flyover in Yola and roads across Adamawa among others.

He attributed the giant strides recorded by the Fintiri administration to cordial working relationship existing between the Executive and Legislature which he said resulted in improving social and economic activities in the State.

Rating government impact on the civil service within two years, the Commissioner said civil servants in Adamawa have enjoined prompt payment of salaries while retirees timely receive gratuity and pension.

Mr Babadoake said the ongoing bio-metric verification exercise for civil servants and Pensioners was not mean to witch hunt anybody but generate relevant data to facilitate better planning.

The Commissioner while appealing to Adamawa People to continue according government the necessary support solicited sustained prayers to enable the present administration to succeed.
