Adamawa state Government to build an International Market in Mubi

Adamawa State Government has expressed readiness to build an Ultra-Modern Cattle Market and Abattoir as well as International Market in Mubi.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who dropped the hint at the palace of the Emir of Mubi Wednesday, said government will also construct the road from Tsamiya in Mubi to Bazza in Michika local government area.
He described Mubi as the commercial nerve centre of Adamawa and therefore government will not relent in providing the area much needed basic infrastructure to improve economic activities in the state.
Governor Umaru Fintiri told the royal father that his administration was doing its best in the education sector, as government is building two thousand capacity hostel and five faculty buildings in the new campus of Adamawa State University, ADSU in Mubi.
He said government is poised to reposition the university and make it one of the best in the country in addition to assuring the royal father that his administration will continue to bring succour to the citizenry.
Governor Umaru Fintiri said despite various challenges, the state government has procured fertilizer and sold the community at a subsidized rate to farmers and announced that government will accord due support during to the next dry season farming in the state.
Responding, the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isah Ahmadu thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for starting the rehabilitation of Mubi general hospital and called for increase in the number of doctors in the health centres.
He assured the governor of the support of Mubi emirate council and the people to his administration and counseled people of Adamawa to rally round Governor Umaru Fintiri for the state to forge ahead.
Alhaji Ahmadu described Governor Umaru Fintiri as a humble, trustworthy and God-fearing man and prayed to God to guide him in piloting the affairs of Adamawa to take it to new level.
