Quranic competition Is To Inculcate Passion Of Reading The Holy Qur’an-Jika

The State Chairman, Muslim Council of Nigeria, Alhaji Gambo Jika has observed that the essence of Quranic competition is to inculcate the passion for reading verses of the Holy Qur’an in the hearts of participants and to encourage other Muslims.

Alhaji Jika made the observation when State officials of Nana Asma’u Bintu Fodiyo Educational Foundation and organizers of the Nana Asma’u Qur’an Recitation Competition for female secondary school students of Nigeria, Adamawa state chapter visited him in his office Saturday.

He expressed delight with the measures put in place by the organizers of ensuring that only genuine students took part in the competition.

The chairman assured of the council’s support for the success of the competition in the state scheduled to hold between the twenty-fifth to twenty-eight of August two thousand and twenty-two.

In his remark, the Chairman of Adamawa State Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Alhaji Bappare Kem noted that the activities of the foundation will help towards propagating the message of Islam.

Alhaji Kem who urged the organizers and officials to be honest and remain focused suggested the incorporation of all secondary schools in the competition.

In a remark, the State Chairman of Jama’atil Izalatil Bidi’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah, who is also the State Chairman of Nana Asma’u Bintu Fodiyo Educational Foundation, Alhaji Sahabo Magaji gave an overview of the foundation.

He explained that one of the essences of the competition is to train female participants who are future mothers and the light of the society to be responsible and useful citizens.

Earlier, the State Coordinator of the foundation, Alhaji Hamid Idris Ahmed said part of the measure taken is to disallow all those who participated in past competitions from taking part in the current exercise for wider participation.

The National competition is slated for the ninth of September this year in Keffi, Nassarawa state.
