Adamawa State Government commences recruitment interview of primary healthcare workers

Adamawa State Government has commenced recruitment interview for one thousand, eight hundred and three prospective primary healthcare workers out of the over six thousand candidates that applied for the placement.

One thousand one hundred and thirteen candidates are expected to emerge after the recruitment interview for onward employment and deployment to various primary healthcare facilities in the state.

The recruitment interview taking place at the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Yola commenced with Applicants from Hong, Jada and Guyuk local government areas Monday and will be rounded off on Friday this week.

Speaking in an interview, the Executive Chairman Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Doctor Suleiman Saidu Bashir said tremendous progress has been recorded since the commenced of the recruitment exercise.

He revealed that the agency carried out a rigorous screening exercise to ensure that no candidate with case of certificate forgery is employed as government attaches importance to effective primary healthcare service delivery.

Doctor Bashir added that the agency was working with relevant stakeholders for the recruitment exercise and assured that government will ensure transparency and fairness in the process.

Contributing, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Primary Healthcare Doctor Aminu Aliyu Ismaila Numan said the recruitment exercise is to fill in the gap in the public healthcare delivery space in primary healthcare facilities in the state.

He revealed that the exercise is the first phase as government will also recruit other health workers in various categories, as the state primary healthcare has Vacancies for of about three thousand seven hundred workers.

One of the candidates from Guyuk local government, Miss Kagi Kurkuwa who spoke in an interview thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for creating an avenue for absorbing youths with relevant qualifications for an improved healthcare delivery system in the state.
