Federal Lawmaker empowers constituents

The member Representing Mayo Belwa, Jada, Ganye, and Toungo in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Abdulrazak Namdas has distributed empowerment tools to some beneficiaries in the constituency.

The event which took place Monday at Gangwi Center,  Ganye town is the fourth of such empowerment programmes by the legislator.

Alhaji Abdulrazak Namdas explained that he found it necessary to support the people to start and run small scale businesses with a view to reducing unemployment and youth restiveness pointing out that there is economic crisis globally.

The legislator, who thanked people in the constituency for their support and voting him for a second term, said the intervention was the beginning of more good things to come adding that the coronavirus pandemic has crippled the economy and unleashed untold hardships on many people.

Alhaji Namdas who is the chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Army, said he decided to support vigilante groups in the area in the face of cases increasing rate of kidnapping and other forms of the criminality in the areas pointing out that each local government will get a truck.

Among other beneficiaries of vehicles are the Christians Associations of Nigeria, CAN state chapter and the Muslim council that received Siena buses each for the four local Governments.

In his welcome address, the state chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal who saluted Alhaji Namdas for his interventions, urged him to sustain the tempo and stressed on the need for people in the zone to be United and work for peace.

Also speaking, Alhaji Mansur Toungo thanked the legislator for his concern on the plight of the people and assured his necessary support.

There were good will messages by representatives of the state chairman of the Christians Association of Nigeria, Muslim Council, and vigilante, groups among others.

Presented at the event were thirty cars, four hundred sewing machines, one hundred motorcycles, one hundred grinding machines, one hundred and fifty wheel- chairs and one hundred water pumps.
