2023 Election: Adamawa State CAN Chairman Challenge INEC On Credible polls

Ahead of the twenty twenty three general elections, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese Stephen Dami Mamza has challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and other relevant bodies to ensure conduct of free, fair and credible polls.

The cleric who threw the charge this while commemorating the solemnity of Christ the Universal King at Saint Theresa’s Cathedral jimeta called on Nigerians to vote for credible individual’s political parties.

Bishop Dami Mamza in his homily said, Christ the universal king celebration is observed on the last Sunday of liturgical year of advent that ushers Christians to season of Christmas and new year season.

He encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope but pray and vote  for credible leaders that have the capacity to take the nation to a new level, expressing hope that next year by the Grace of God Nigerians will be better off.

Bishop Dami Mamza also appealed to the electoral National body to ensure that every vote counts by conducting a transparency exercise while calling on Nigerians to consider their future while casting their votes.

The Bishop added that, people should go for candidates with good character, clean past record and the capacity to transform the country for the better.

He used the forum to advice youths to resist the temptation of being used as political thugs and vote selling.

Highpoint of the event included Rosary prayer, songs praise and procession which started at Saint Peters Seminary Jimeta and terminated  at Saint Theresa’s Cathedral, Jimeta.
