Man Kills Ex-Wife In Yola

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested fifty-six years old Aminu Abubakar, a resident of Lelewaji, Shagari phase two in Yola South Local Government Area for killing his former wife Nana Fadimatu.

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested fifty-six years old Aminu Abubakar, a resident of Lelewaji, Shagari phase two in Yola South Local Government Area for killing his former wife Nana Fadimatu.

The suspect, who is the Manager of Anasam Table Water at Jambutu Fifty Housing, had a child with the deceased after nine years of their marriage.

It was gathered that the deceased was set to get another marriage on Friday when the erstwhile husband got the information and went to the deceased compound and commit the crime.

The deceased Nana Fadimatu, thirty-eight years old is a staff of Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital Yola with the Department of Medical Records.

Spokesman for the Adamawa State Police Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje who confirmed the incident in a statement said the Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola has deployed officers from Anti- The homicide unit, attached to State Criminal Investigation Department, CID to takeover investigation and ensure the law takes it course.
