Youth Organization To Sensitize 100,000 Students On Drug Abuse In Adamawa

A Youth Advocacy Organization, “Stop Abusing Youth” (SAY) Foundation, saying it will sensitize one hundred thousand students in fifty schools across the state on the dangers of drug abuse.

The state Chairman of the organization, Mallam Muhammad Sani Abubakar disclosed this while flagging off the project tagged “Save Hundred Thousand Youth from Drug Abuse” held at the Teachers’ House Jimeta.

He decried the high rate of youth involvement in drug abuse and solicited the support of the leadership of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT towards the success of the project.

Mallam Abubakar noted that the project is aimed at giving youths who are leaders of tomorrow a sense of direction.

In a remark, the NUT State Chairman, Comrade Rodney Nathan said the NUT will support any meaningful programme geared towards promoting teaching and learning as well as relationship between teachers, students and parents.

He noted that drug abuse affects all aspects of development.
