The Society for Women and Girl Child Empowerment SWOGE, a non-governmental organization has sensitized female students on the importance of girl child education, personal Hygiene and Reproductive Health.

The organization took the sensitization to Government Day Secondary School, Senior section Gwadabawa Jimeta in Yola North local government area as part of activities marking this year’s International Day of Girl Child with the theme:  “Invest in Girls’ Rights: our Leadership, our well-being”.

The Executive Director of the organization, Mrs Laureta Charles stressed need for the students to imbibe spirit of personal Hygiene and cleanliness.

Mrs Charles advised them to be committed in pursuing their education also urged parents and guardians to encourage and cater for their wellbeing.

In her remark, Principal of the school, Mrs Zuzi Samuel Wakama thanked the organization for imparting the knowledge on students and urged female students to put lessons learnt into practice.
