Senator Binani distributes fertilizer free of charge

The Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani has distributed a total of twelve thousand, six hundred bags of fertilizer free of charge across to the twenty one local government areas of Adamawa state for this cropping season.

Flagging off the distribution exercise in Yola, Senator Aishatu Binani explained that the seven local government areas made up the Central Zone were allocated six hundred bags each, while the remaining fourteen local government areas of Northern and Southern senatorial zones were allocated three hundred bags each.

She added that ward heads in Adamawa Central were allocated a total of two thousand six hundred and forty bags, village heads two hundred and fifty eight bags and District heads twenty eight bags each.

The legislator said in order to ensure transparency and fairness in the distribution exercise; a committee made up major stakeholders and elders from each local government has been constituted.

Senator Aishatu Binani explained that the distribution of the free fertilizer is not part of constituency project but was borne out of her desire to assist people in this difficult time.

While, praying for a bumper harvest the Senator appealed to the beneficiaries not sell the commodity but make good use of the fertilizer to improve their yield.
