Over two thousand herds of cattle are to be vaccinated against killer diseases in central zone of Adamawa state by a former senatorial candidate under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Chubado Murtala Modibbo.

Flagging off the ceremony of the vaccination in Barikin Sejo Song Local Government Area, Alhaji Chubado said the gesture was part of his assistance to Fulani Pastoralists to give them a sense of belonging.

He said the measure will help to improve health of the animals which is their economic mainstay.

According to Chubado Murtala, cattle herders have for years been forgotten for such intervention despite their contributions to the socio-economic development of the nation.

The PDP chieftain said the program has targeted over ten thousand herds of cattle across seven local government areas in adamawa Central Zone.

Alhaji Chubado Murtala while urging fulani to imbibe the culture of tolerance, love, Peace and unity, appealed to them to support present administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to enable them reap more democracy dividends.

The Adviser on Religious matters to MACBAN, Sheikh Ibrahim Daware in his speech, called on people to vote for people with proven integrity, honest and passionate towards assisting people.                              He commended Alhaji Chubado for the assistance and challenged political office holders and politicians to emulate the gesture for the overall development of the state.

In his remark, the North East Zonal Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria MACBAN, Alhaji Aliyu Abare lauded Alhaji Chubado Murtala for the intervention which he noted will go a long way in empowering cattle herders.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Ardo Labdo thanked Alhaji Chubado Murtala for the gesture describing it as first of its kind.

In a vote of thanks, the Adamawa state chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria MACBAN, Alhaji Ja’oji Isa expressed gratitude to Alhaji Chubado Murtala and assured him of their support.
