SDP In Adamawa State Collaborates With NGOs, Media, NBA To Fashion Out Developmental Blue Print

The Social Democratic party in Adamawa State SDP said it is working with nongovernmental organizations, NGOs, the Media, Nigeria Bar Association NBA to come up with a developmental blueprint for the party ahead of the Twenty-three General Elections.

The Deputy Gubernatorial candidate of the party Yusuf Amos stated this at a symposium organized by the Party on development agenda challenges and prospects of Adamawa held Thursday at Vortex  Jimeta.

He said politics is all about development hence organizing the symposium to avail participants the opportunity to brainstorm on the way forward for the development of the State.

Yusuf Amos maintained that the SDP will generate inputs from various organizations that will form part of its development blueprint for Adamawa.

The Deputy Gubernatorial candidate further explained that the reason behind the forum was to come up with ideas on how to change the narrative in Adamawa State positively.

The Guest Speaker at the event, Mr. Panny Boga who made a presentation on the Topic “leadership and development” maintained that a developed state should have less poverty rate among the citizens and improved infrastructural development.

He challenged participants to come up with indices or indicators that will serve as useful tools for the development of the state and the nation as a whole.

The state chairman of SDP Abubakar Yusuf said the party deemed it necessary to bring stakeholders together to brainstorm on the way forward for Adamawa state.

Participants at the event, Mallam Gurin, Mrs. Dora Alahira, and former state Commissioner Information Mr. Yohanna Mathias, pointed out that the move by the SDP to organize the symposium is the right step in the right direction.
