Leaders at all levels have been charged to imbibe the spirit of tolerance as a guiding principle in the discharge of their duties which will enhance peaceful coexistence in a society.

This is the submission of speakers at the annual programme organized by Youth Wing of Initiative for Muslim Women of Nigeria IMWON Adamawa state chapter held at the office of the organization in Jimeta with a theme Tolerance and Unity.

The speakers explained that tolerance is one of the attributes of Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him which should be emulated by leaders at all levels.

According Mallam Mohammed Sagir, tolerance is a bond that unites people and their leaders, and cautioned followers to set aside sentiment while proffering solutions to any perceive wrongdoing.

In their separate contributions, Mallam Ahmad Goni from Maiduguri, Borno state and Mallam Umar Muhammad Yuguda from Jalingo, Taraba state and Abubakar Sute stressed the importance of tolerance in Islam as well as the need to assist parents, immediate families, neighbours, Orphans among others.     They called on the people to love each other and utilize their knowledge for the benefit of humanity.

In their separate remarks, State Amirah Initiative for Muslim Women of Nigeria IMWON Hajiya Asmau Aliyu and State Amir Youth wing of the organization Mallam Nuhu Dauda expressed delight with unity existing among the members and appreciated the speakers for the lectures.
