Recruitment: Daily Rated Staff Serving In MDAs Will Be Given Priority-HoS

Daily rated staff serving in Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Adamawa state government civil service will be given priority in the ongoing recruitment exercise of the state government.

The Head of Civil service of Adamawa state, Doctor Edgar Amos stated this during the sixth Quadrennial state delegates conference of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employee AUPCTRE held along Army Barracks road in Jimeta.

Doctor Edgar Amos while stressing that his office will collaborate with the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC to ensure that the daily rated staff are given priority, pointed out that most of them have sacrificed greater part of their lives as casual staff.

The Head of Civil service, who declared the Quadrennial conference open, commended the leadership of AUPCTRE under Comrade Chafari Luka for smoothly steering activities of the union in the last four years.

In a remark, the state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe commended the state government efforts to recruit workers in the service and made case for the daily rated staff to be accorded special attention in the recruitment excercise.

He said the welfare of workers should be the concern of every union leader and urged the new leadership of AUPCTRE to live up to that expectation.

The National President of AUPCTRE, Comrade Benjamin Anthony, who was represented by Comrade Garba Shagay noted that conferences such as these are essential period in the life of unions as their leaders are taken into account and new leaders emerge.

He called for transparency and patriotism on the part of union members to enable them elect leaders who passionate at improving the lots of workers.

Some of those that emerged as the state executives to lead the union in the next four years are Moses Helda John as Chairman, Abiatha Kore as Vice Chairman, Anali Adams as Administrative Secretary, Samson Micha as Financial secretary while Mercy Hebro is Treasurer, Musa Usman for Welfare and Jorom Jerry as Auditor.
