over 3.5m ITNs to be distributed in Adamawa

Adamawa state Ministry of Health and the National Malaria Elimination Programme, Federal Ministry of health in collaboration with partners planned to distribute over three point five million insecticides treated Nets that have been procured from Global fund.
Chief Scientific officer of National Malaria Elimination Programme, Federal Ministry of Health Mr Omo- Eboh Mamudu disclosed this during an advocacy visit to Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation ABC Yola.
He announced that the exercise will take place from seventh May to twenty eight June, twenty-twenty three to households across the state.
Mr Mamudu explained that in adherence to national guidelines and to reduce spread of viral diseases, the nets will be distributed by trained personnel using single-phase door to door approach where households will be mobilize and issued with nets simultaneously.
The chief scientific officer solicited for support of ABC Yola in areas of partnership, free phone in programmes and airing of jingles among others.
Responding, the General Manager ABC Yola, Barrister Misali represented by the Director Programmes Mr Micheal Musa assured the of the Health of stations support at all times.
He described the visit as timely saying ABC Yola is always open to donor agencies with public interest.
