Old Students Association GMMC elects new executives

The Old Boy students Association of General Murtala Mohammed College GMMC Yola, class of nineteen seventy-nine on Wednesday elected newly executive members of the association.

The election was held in the conference hall of the Center for Distance Learning of Modibbo Adama University, Yola.
Announcing the names of the new officials, the chairman of the electoral committee, Mr Martin Lise Melanda said they were return unopposed.
He commended the old boy’s class of nineteenth seventy nine for the maturity and understanding demonstrated during the election.
Mr Melanda called on the members to unite and work together to move their alma mater to greater heights.
Responding on behalf of the newly executive members of class of nineteenth seventy nine vice, the chairman one, Mr Yirka Sarjus Mark expressed appreciation to members for their support and pledged that the officials will discharge their duties to the best of their abilities.
Mr Mark advised the government at all levels to give priority to education considering the importance of manpower development.
The new executive members include, Professor Yusuf Mohammed chairman, Mr Yirka Sarjus Mark vice chairman one, Friday Udoh Secretary and Mohammed Yahya Marafa Public Relation Officer among others.
They were inaugurated by the outgoing chairman of the association, Musa Gidado.
Earlier members had visited their former school to see for themselves the state of facilities.
