The President Nigerian Association of Physical Challenge Persons with disabilities comrade Rilwan Mohammed has challenged the new executive members of the association in Adamawa to discharge their duties without fear or favour.
Comrade Mohammed gave the challenge during the election of the new executive members of the association held at Government Skills Acquisition Centre Jimeta Saturday.
Represented by National Coordinator North East Zone comrade Mohammed Nafi’u Musa expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election and called on members of the association to collaborate with Non-Governmental Organization, NGO’S in Adamawa to enable them move the association forward.
The president pointed out that the association is facing many challenges and appealed to the new members to bury their differences and unite for the benefit of the association.
Speaking at the event the representative of the state Ministry of Women Affairs Mohammed Tijjani who advised members of the association to always work for the progress of the association he pledged his support to the members at all time.
In his remark, the Adamawa state chairman of Nigerian Association of Physical Challenge Person with Disabilities Comrade Abdullahi Tungo lauded the efforts of the electoral committee for conducting a successful election.
He explained that the association has been facing numerous challenges across the local governments, and called on the new leadership of the association to work hard to overcome them.
The newly elected executives are Comrade Abdullahi Tungo as chairman, Usha Yakuba Hassan, Vice chairman Patient Birisonn PRO, Mohammed Abubakar chief whip and Mrs Godiya Simon Women leader among others.
The oath of office and allegiance was administered by Barrister A Zira.
