Governor Ahmadu Umaru FintirI urges Muslims to use Ramadan period to strengthen brotherliness

Governor Ahmadu Umaru FintirI has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Adamawa for the successful commencement of Ramadan fast Tuesday following the sighting of the moon in some parts of the country Monday evening.

The Governor in a statement by his Press Secretary Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, observed that Ramadan fast is one of the pillars of Islam and request every capable Muslims to fast for the period of twemnty nine or thirty days.

Governor Umaru Fintiri urged Muslims during the blessed Ramadan to abstain from pleasures and pray to become closer to God adding that it is also a time for families and people to gather and pray for abundant reward from Allah.

The Governor added that Ramadan is a period of sacrifice and renunciation as well as reflection and spiritual growth while also being a powerful symbol of unity, with Muslims around the world fasting simultaneously.

He therefore urged Muslims in Adamawa to use the Ramadan period to strengthen brotherliness among them and assist the needy in the society as well as promote peaceful coexistence in the state.

The Governor appealed to the faithfuls to use the Ramadan period by praying fervently to God to bring to an end, the security challenges bedevilling the Country and seek God to guide the nation’s leaders in the act of governance.

Governor Umaru Fintiri prayed to God to grant Muslims the ability to use every precious moment of this Blessed month to engage in those things which please Allah.
