Media Outfit Confers Award On Traditional Ruler

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commended the acting District Head of Jimeta Alhaji Muhammadu Jauro Baba for his effort toward ensuring peace and security in Jimeta and its environs.
He made the commendation Saturday during presentation of an award of excellence service to the Acting District Head organized by a non-governmental organization Diaphos Media Nigeria Limited held at Capital School Jimeta.
Represented by the Special Assistant to the governor on Youth and Sports, Alhaji Abubakar Abdulrahman, Governor Fintiri said peace and security is one of the cardinal objectives of his administration.
The governor explained that upon assumed of duty, his administration established Operation Farauta, a joint security outfit in order to maintain peace and security across twenty one local government areas.
He added that his administration also provided vehicles and other support to all security agencies, hunters and vigilantes groups in the state with a view to tackling criminal activities including the Chila boy’s miscreants.
He saluted Diapho Media for conferring award of excellence to the Distract Head who always fight the activities of Chila Boys in the state and called on people to rally round present administration in Adamawa.
In his remark, the guest speaker at the event, Doctor Mahdi Abba from Modibbo Adama University Yola who spoke on a topic “Traditional Leaders and Peace Building in Society“ attributed the security challenges bedevilling the country as result in ability to key-in traditional leaders from the grassroots.
He called on government to review the nineteen ninety nine constitution with a view to involving traditional rulers in security affairs in the country.
Eelier in his remark the organizer of the award ceremony of Diaphos Media Nigeria Limited, Mr Deno Kaniel said the award giving to the acting district head of Jimeta was best on his contribution in fighting Chila boys activities in Jimeta since he become acting district head and urged him to tempo.
Responding while receiving the award the acting District Head of Jimeta Alhaji Muhammadu Jauro Baba expressed appreciation to Diaphos Media Nigeria Limited for finding him worthy of the award.
He said the success he recorded in fighting Chila Boys in Jimeta followed support of Governor Ahamadu Umaru Fintiri led administration.
There were goodwill messages from member representing Yola North Alhaji Hamidu Sajo Lekki and chairman Yola North local government council Nasiru Hammanjoda among others.
