”Elect credible candidates” Hon. Kallamu advises People

The People’s Democratic Party PDP Flag bearer for Mayo Belwa state constituency in the forthcoming general Elections Musa Mahmud Kallamu has stressed the need for People to elect credible, competent and responsible candidates.

He stated this at a ceremony organized by North East Youths for Enlightening People on Good Governance held at GSS Mayo Belwa.

Mallam Kallamu who emphasized that development thrive with good representation, explained that the function of a lawmaker is to enact laws that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of people.

Alhaji Kallamu who was elated with the endorsement by the youth organization pledged to justify the confidence repose in him if given the mandate.

He called on youths to be vanguard of peace and shun religious and ethnic sentiments during electioneering campaign and promised to sponsor bills that will empower youths and women for self-reliant.

The former lawmaker used the forum to canvass for more support to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and all PDP candidates to emerge Victorious  in the forth coming election.

The Guest Speaker at the occasion who spoke on “the Manipulation of ethno- ethnicity and religion in to Nigerian Politics” Reverend Father Mugaga Dammori stressed the need for respect, tolerance and understanding among Muslims and Christians in the area for peace and tranquility.

He specifically advised youths not to allow themselves to be used as political thugs by selfish politician and urged Alhaji Kallamu to carry everybody along if clinched the seat of the Constituency.

Earlier, the Chairman Mayo Belwa local Government Council Mallam Muhammadu Buji represented by the Secretary of the Council  Mahmud Njabari thanked the Youths for their support to the PDP and it’s candidate and urged them to maintain the tempo.

Presenting the certificate of endorsement by the coordinator of the group Comrade Ibrahim Bappa said the groupdecided to endorse Kallamu as Youths candidate considering his past track record.

He enumerated various projects executed by the former lawmaker to include intervention in health and education sector as well as Youths and women empowerment.

In a remark, the secretary of People Democratic Party PDP Mayo Belwa local government Rabiu Ibrahim thanked the Youths for their solidarity to PDP.
