Group Manager Dangote suger Refinery Assures that company will support initiatives aim at self- actualization of students staff school.

Group General Manager, Operations of Dangote Sugar Refinery Numan, Bello Damusa has assured that the company will support initiatives that are aimed at ensuring self-actualization of students of the Staff Primary School.

The General Manager, who stated this at the celebration of Children’s Day held at the premises of the school in Numan, described children as backbone of the society as well as future leaders.

He appreciated teachers of the school for impacting good morals in the students and tasked parents, religious and community leaders to rise to the challenge of moulding children into responsible citizens.

Damusa said their skills in handwork is impressive and assured that the company will support initiative of the school to sharpen the skills.

In her address, Headmistress of Dangote Sugar Refinery Staff Primary School, Grace traced the history of Children Day to nineteen fifty four when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the day while the first celebration was held in October nineteen fifty five.

She said in line with the theme of the year, “More money for Primary Education”, students of the school had adopted an initiative where waste rubber bottles are used in erecting building adding that the day accords students the opportunity to exhibit their potentials and advised parents to spend more time with their children.

Also speaking, Chairman of Parent Teacher’s Association, Lawan Adamu appreciated move by the school to further enhance knowledge of the children in the areas of skills, which is cardinal in self-actualization by the individual especially in country like Nigeria.

The event featured quiz, debate and cultural dance among the students.
