Seven-Year Child Brutalize In Adamawa

A seven-year-old maid, Angela David was brutalized by her master causing grievous body injuries on her head, hands, knees, and back for failure to carry out domestic work on time.

The victim is currently receiving medication at Bakari Bole Clinic, Shagari low-cost, Yola town, Adamawa State, while the suspect has been arrested by the Police.

In an interview, with the victim at her hospital bed, Angela David she fed once daily and her crime was a delay in washing utensils and other domestic chores.

She stated that she was severally beaten with electric cable and branches of Moringa trees.

Also speaking, the mother of the victim, Elsey David said the girl was taken to the woman eight months ago to assist her with domestic work on condition to enroll the child in school without any monetary bond at the end of the month, adding that the suspect consented, but later withdrew the girl from school.

According to her, they have separated from the girl’s father for almost three months now and was astonished by her daughter’s condition, advising people to be wary while giving out their children as house-help to other people.
