Governor Fintiri inspects projects in Yola

Inline with the commitment of the Adamawa state government to ensure quality and timely delivery of awarded contacts, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Thursday inspected some ongoing infrastructure projects in Yola, the state capital.

The projects inspected by the Governor included Grade Interchange at Police Roundabout, Total Junction Flyover and work on Weekly Scope Street, Jambutu street down to Mambila Street and Olusegun Obasanjo street road projects.

Governor Umaru Fintiri while speaking in an interview with newsmen shortly after the inspection noted with satisfaction the progress of the projects and believed that his administration has appreciably kept to its promise.

He explained that the contractors are moving ahead of time which has prompted the government to approve additional two billion naira to enable them deploy additional equipment and resources to complete the works.

Governor Fintiri revealed that other road projects at the various local government areas are progressing smoothly as noting that  Adamawa is changing for the better.

The Governor was accompanied during the inspection visit by the Commissioner and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Energy Development, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar and Alhaji Suleiman Mohammed among others.

As at the time of the visit, ABC Yola Government House Correspondent Muhammad Babangida Muhammad reports that most of the inspected projects are advancing appreciably.
