Forum Donates Hygiene Kits To Students In Adamawa

The Forum of Adamawa State Indigenes in National Assembly FASINA in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC has distributed hygiene kits to the students in Shelleng, Demsa, Mubi South, Michika, Gombi, and Fufore local government areas.

The Forum of Adamawa State Indigenes in National Assembly FASINA in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC has distributed hygiene kits to the students in Shelleng, Demsa, Mubi South, Michika, Gombi, and Fufore local government areas.

Items distributed include toilet paper, sanitary pads, exercise books, detergents, soaps, Izal, and mathematical sets.

The forum also sensitized Primary School pupils and Junior secondary school students on personal Hygiene.

Speaking during the exercise, a member of the forum, Secretary General  the forum Khalid Umar stressed the need  for pupils and students to ensure regular hand washing, bath twice a day, and ensure cleanliness of the environment.

According to him, the initiative of the program is to educate the younger on the importance of personal hygiene and the females about their menstrual cycle.

He encouraged parents and guardians to monitor the personal hygiene of their children to protect them from contracting diseases.

Also Speaking , a Member of the Forum Aliyu Bazza said the exercise is targeting two hundred pupils across the six local government councils that benefitted from the program.

Speaking separately, the Headmasters of the schools visited by the forum appreciated FASINA for the gesture and solicited more assistance, particularly infrastructure.

Receiving the FASINA Team in his palace, the District Head of Bodwai in Shelleng local government area Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim lauded the FASINA and UBEC for the initiative and urged his subjects to inculcate the habit of personal hygiene for healthy living.
