Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria declares 22-28 February 2023 as work free days to allow staff to participate in coming elections

The Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, LCCN has declared Wednesday twenty second to Tuesday twenty eight February twenty-twenty three as work free days to allow staff of the church to participate in the coming presidential and national assembly elections.

In statement signed by the Administrative secretary of the Church, Mr Parisa Ishaku, the Church leadership said the decision is to allow workers take care of their families preparatory to the presidential and national assembly elections on Saturday twenty fifth  February, twenty twenty three.

It dvised LCCN workers to cast their votes and be careful not engage in anything that may damage the reputation of the church.

The statement, which was addressed to the Bishops, heads of departments and institutions in the LCCN was issued on the instance of the Head of the church Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus and indicates that Work resumes on Wednesday, twenty nineth February, twenty twenty three.

The Archbishop admonished the church to vote according to guideline issued by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN based on Character, Competence, Capabilities and Policies.

The Arch Bishop prayed for a peaceful, rancor free and fair elections.
