The Founder, of the Lord’s Prayer Family, Evangelist Cletus Shipemu Muryo has stressed the need for collective efforts by all to rekindle the dwindling hope of orphans and widows in society.

He advised during the second phase of the distribution of relief materials to some orphans and widows at ECWA Church Bichel, Song, with the theme of sharing in God’s love.

Evangelist Muryo explained that part of the activities of the foundation is to put smiles on faces of the less privileged in society.

He stressed the need for government, philanthropic organizations and individuals to shift attention to this category of citizens to give them a sense of belonging.

Evangelist Muryo who earlier took his scriptural reading from Mathew chapter twenty-two verse thirty-seven of the Holy Bible tagged, encouraged the people to imbibe the spirit of assisting others.

Also Speaking, Pastor Yunana Baba described the outreach as timely and pledged to partner with the team to continue in sharing through almsgiving.

In a remark, the candidate of the Labour Party in the state House of Assembly, Song constituency, Mr. Theman Jonah offered to offset the school fees of one of the orphans for two years and will continue to reach the vulnerable in the society.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Madam Hadiza Yusufu appreciated the organization and pledged to judiciously use the items.

Items distributed include maize, salt, and maggi cube.
