Islamic Cleric admonishes Muslims to avoid unnecessary Lamentations against leaders

Muslims have again been admonished to avoid unnecessary Lamentations and shifting blame against leaders on the security situation and other problems bedeviling the Country.

The Deputy Chief Imam of Ambassador Dahiru Waziri Jumma’at  Mosque Yola, Imam Ahmad Sa’ad who stated this in his Friday sermon, said people need to change their attitude, if they want the situation to change.

The Imam quoted a hadith of prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, which says unless people change from bad to good, Allah will not change the situation to better

Imam Ahmad Sa’ad, attributed the hardship being faced by people to high level of immorality by people.

The cleric called on Muslims to intensify prayers and seek for Allah’s intervention on the numerous problems bedeviling the country.

The cleric appealed to Muslims to repent and worship Allah according to the teaching of Islam and be hopeful of Allah`s mercy.

The Imam said everyone will be accountable to his words in the hereafter, hence the need for people to be God-fearing.

Prayers were offered for peace and progress of the country.
