District Head pledges support to NGO

District Head of Girei, Ubandoma Adamawa Dr Ahmed Ibrahim Musdafa pledged to support other non-governmental organization in fighting Malaria and urged his subjects to support the project.

He stated this when Nanen Famen Naftiren a community based in Wuro Chekke to organisation in collaboration with Catholic Relieve Services and Civil society in malaria control teams paid him an advocacy visit at his palace in Girei.

Ubandoma who welcomed the idea initiated by the organization said it will go a long way in sensitizing populace at this period of rainy season by constants immunizations of their children.

Earlier, the programme Officer of the organization Mrs Laureta Charles and the Executive Director of Nanen Famen Naftiren Mallam Adamu Bakari highlighted on the importance of the project and progress achieved so far in Girei Local Government.

According to the team the project is being implemented in eight Local Governments Areas in Adamawa to create awareness on free Malaria commodities and services at Primary Health Care Centres.
