Truck Kills Six People Including Traffic Warder

A truck loaded with sand on Wednesday killed six persons including a traffic warder while many others sustained injuries at Hayin Gada in Girei local government area of Adamawa state.

Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Superintendent of Police Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje who confirmed this in a telephone interview said the driver of the truck has been apprehended.

He added that the truck driver lost control and hit shop owners beside the road, adding that the command is doing everything to ensure that law takes its course, as investigation was ongoing.

The PPRO then called on members of the public to desist from taking the law into their hands and condemned how a mob set the truck ablaze.
