Treated Nets: Guyuk Coordinator Says nets designated for the area distributed across households

The Guyuk local government Coordinator for Management Sciences for Health in the distribution of Insecticide Treated Nets, Christiana Okonkwo has said the nets designated for the local government have been distributed across households.
The coordinator stated this while answering questions on mop up excercise to reach out to those who were unable to get the nets in Guyuk.
She said initial one hundred and ninety bales of Insecticide Treated Nets for the area were distributed within the twelve days meant for the excercise pointing out that nine bales of additional nets were also positioned and distributed as supplementary nets within the period.
Ms Okonkwo therefore explained that the two days meant for the mop up excercise are being used to reconcile documents by those who took part in the excercise.
She appreciated the efforts put in place by stakeholders in ensuring the success of the distribution excercise in Guyuk describing it as a huge success.
The local government Coordinator noted that proper education have also been accorded the residents to enable them use the net properly.
ABC Yola Correspondent, Kissinger Bukar, reports that development partners such as Global Fund, Management Science for Health, Catholic Relief Service, Federal and state Ministry of Health are optimistic about the utilization of the nets in combating the scourge of malaria in the state and the country at large.
