The Peoples Democratic Party PDP factional group in Adamawa known as Reformed PDP has collapsed its entire structure and declared its total unflinching support to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The factional group was formed by some aggrieved stakeholders and members of the PDP led by Doctor Umar Ardo who announced their defection and named the new group as R-PDP forming political structure across the state.

In his address at the event held in the Government House, Yola Thursday, Governor Umaru Fintiri said crises are inevitable in a big political party like PDP, but the mechanism to solve them is what matters.

He welcomed the defectors back to the party, assuring that his administration will work with them and involve them in next political appointments, and called on the founder of R-PD,P Doctor Umaru Ardo to come back and join hands with him to build a better Adamawa.

Governor Umaru Fintiri stressed that he will continue to work for the people of Adamawa and deliver the state from underdevelopment that the future generation will be proud of and called for unity of purpose and brotherhood among members of the PDP.

The State Chairman of PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu described the formation of the R-PDP as unconstitutional because it is not registered as political party and assured the returnees that the party has accepted them wholeheartedly.

Speaking earlier, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Abdurrahman Bobboi who ushered in the defectors, said their return to the mother PDP will no doubt strengthen the party.

In his remark, the State Chairman of the defunct R-PDP, Alhaji Jauro Bulu said the factional group has resolved its differences and will rally round the Fintiri led administration, calling on politicians in Adamawa to avoid playing the politics of the state in Abuja.

In their separate contributions, some stakeholders of the R-PDP, Adamu Jika, Jacob Nboh, Ahmad Yarima and Gabriel Jeremon among others said they dumped the factional group considering how the Governor is changing the fortunes of the state for the better.
