Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation ABC Yola, has been commended for its contributions in sensitizing the public through various programs on the importance of Education.

The chairman, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Yola North chapter, Mr. Sardauna Muhammed made the  commendation when he led new members of the association on a courtesy call to  the General Manager, Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation, ABC Yola, Mr. Alleni Ethan Dah at the Broadcasting House Yola Thursday.

He said the essence of the visit was to familiarize with the activities of the station and solicit collaboration with the mass media on the need to enlighten parents that education is the safe legacy they can bequeath to their children.

The association chairman appreciated the Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led-administration for according priority to education with the payment of final examination fees for exiting students and renovation of school buildings among others.

He urged the Governor to extend the gesture to private schools considering their complimentary role in the sector.

Responding, the General Manager, Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation ABC Yola Mr Alleni Ethan Dah, said the role of the private schools in the state cannot be overemphasized in delivering quality education to students and pupils and noted that Yola North has the highest number of private schools in Adamawa state.

Mr. Dah explained that ABC Yola is a station with wider coverage which Broadcast programmes in more than fifteen Local Languages.

The General Manager congratulated the new officials over their emergence, assuring them of the support of the radio station.
