Senator Nyako, others left ADC for APC

The Former Senator Representing Adamawa Central and twenty nineteen gubernatorial candidate on the platform of African Democratic Congress ADC, Senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako has defected to All Progressives Congress APC.

Receiving the former legislator and other supporters at the APC state Secretariat in Yola, the APC Vice Chairman North East zone, Professor Tahir Mamman said the decision of the former ADC members to join APC was based on consultations with senior stakeholders from the national, state and ward levels.

According to him, the defection of leadership of ADC in Adamawa to the APC will strengthen the capacity of the party, assuring that APC will do justice to every member of the party.

Professor Mamman called on members and stakeholders of the party to unite and mobilize more people into the party.

In his remark, the former senator representing Adamawa Central, Senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako said the decision to join APC was based on the hope that the party will do justice to everyone.

He said in twenty nineteen, they left APC for ADC as a result of injustice and expressed hope that APC has learnt a lesson.

While appreciating former members and supporters of ADC for their Cooperation, Senator Abdulaziz appealed to them to accord same to other defectors to the party.

In a welcome address, the state caretaker committee chairman of APC, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal appreciated senator Abdulaziz and others for joining the party, assuring them of equal treatment.

Speaking separately, senator representing Adamawa North, Senator Ishaku Abbo, Former Governor Bala James Ngillari, and Senator Binta Masi Garba pledged to work in unison for the progress and development of the party.

Some APC lawmakers in the Adamawa state House of Assembly were among those that  attended the event.
