Lawmaker Presents Relief Materials to Flood Victims In Shelleng

The lawmaker Representing Shelleng
Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly Hon. Abubakar Isa (Marafan Shelleng) has reaffimed his commitment towards providing and facilitating for basic needs to his constituents.

Abubakar Isa, while presenting food and nonfood items to flood victims across the ten political wards of Shelleng local government area he lobbied through Adamawa State Government and Sarki Abba, Domestic Personal Assistant to President Buhari, said the gesture is in fulfilment of promises to the people.

He added that the essence of inviting people from all over Shelleng constituency to present the donation to them is to demonstrate the high level of commitment and transparency of his representation.

Marafa Shelleng who commended the APC Senatorial Candidate for Adamawa South, Engineer Adamu Isma’ila Numan for his support towards facilitating for relief materials from the federal government, charged beneficiaries to judiciously utilize the commodities for the purpose intended.

The lawmaker who is re-contesting for the third term on the platform of All Progressives Congress APC, urged those who did not benefit from the gesture to exercise patience as he will continue to lobby for more assistance from relevant authorities to cushion their hardship.

Speaking earlier, the All Progressives Congress APC Chairman Shelleng local government area, Alhaji Yawale Tela described Abubakar Isa as a lawmaker who knows the functions of a legislator considering his quality representation since 2015.

In his remark, former commissioner for livestock Hon. Isa Salihu Barima, said the lawmaker’s gesture is a clear outreach to touch the lives of the people, especially those affected by flood.

Addressing the gathering, the distribution committee chairman Mr. Mumini Dickson who was represented by Malam Idi Titwe, while commending Hon. Abubakar Isa for facilitating for the items to flood victims, said the relief materials will go a long way to support the beneficiaries and their families.

In their Goodwill messages, the representatives of Muslim Council and Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Malam Tijjani Abari and Wesley Philimon, said Hon. Abubakar Isa proved that he is a man of his words considering the way he is carrying all the people along.

Christiana Kefas and Ali Sabo who spoke on behalf of the benefiaries, appreciated the Shelleng constituency lawmaker for the assistance he had been rendering to victims of flood.

The food commodities were bags of rice, maize, beans, sphagetty, indomie, mats cooking oils among others.
