NULGE President lauds Governor Fintiri for prompt payment of Salarie

The president of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE has lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru for ensuring prompt payment salaries to local government staff in the State.

Comrade Hammanjumba Gatugel made the commendation in an interview with ABC Yola reporter shortly after receiving a rousing welcome from friends and colleagues who converged on his residence in Mayo Belwa to congratulate him on his re-election as the NULGE president.

He said since coming to power Governor Fintiri has been executing various developmental projects which has direct bearing on the lives of the citizenry.

Comrade Gatugel said during first tenue he has completed the NULGE guest-in and put it to use, purchased a commercial Bus to generate revenue for the union as well as introduced a welfare scheme to support retirees to be self-reliant.

While appreciating people of Mayo Belwa for the solidarity, the NULGE President assured Members that he will rehabilitate the state Secretariat of the union to ensure conducive working environment.

Earlier, the chairman NULGE, Mayo Belwa local government chapter Comrade Mahmud Njabari said the union members decided to re-elect comrade Gatugel because of his Quality leadership during his first tenue.

Comrade Hammanjumba Gatugel was on Wednesday re-elected unopposed as the Adamawa state president of NULGE for another four-year tenure.
