The state team lead, Managing Conflict in Nigeria, British Council programme Abdulkadir Ahmed Bello has described impunity against Journalist as a Global issue with Local implications.

He stated this in an interview on a sideline at a workshop orgnanize by the Nigerian Union of Journalist NUJ, Adamawa State Council in collaboration with Managing Conflict in Nigeria British Council for journalists held at AUN Hotel Yola.

Mr Bello expressed concern that Journalists have found themselves in a situation where their rights are tampered because people who are supposed to protect them will harm them and go scout Free.

He said the workshop was organised to highlight some of the impunity against Journalists and for government to support journalists in the State.

There were paper presentations during the worlshop.
