The Nigerian RED CROSS society Yola North Branch on Saturday conducted sanitations exercise in Jimeta Ultra Modern Marker.

The exercise started at six o’clock in the morning and lasted for three hours.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the exercise the Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Environment Mr Mennas Ngangurah commended the RED CROSS for carrying out the sanitation exercise.

He said the Present administration in the state has approved the repairs of three trucks and shelve loader to conduct their services.

Similarly the Governor Fintiri approved a monthly sanitation in the state and urged people to cultivate the habit of keeping their surroundings clean.

The permanent secretary appealed on individuals and non-governmental organizations to emulate the RED CROSS in keeping the state capital clean.

The chairman of Nigerian RED CROSS Society Jimeta Division Alhaji Yakubu Sununu said the RED CROSS targeted market places Hospitals to render their service to ensure sanity and called on community leaders to educate their people on the need to keep their clean.

In his part Sarkin kasuwan Jimeta Musa Yaro Chika Tsoron Adamawa expressed appreciation to members of RED CROSS Jimeta Division adding that this is the first time a non-governmental organization came to their aid and urged them to maintain the tempo.

He appealed to men and women in Jimeta Ultra Modern Market not to dump refuse in drainages rather they should take it to designated places.

The exercise had in attendance Jama’atul Nasril Islam, Fityanul Islam, Izalatul Bidiya, Boys Bridget, Don Briyester Awareness, among others.
