Leaders in Adamawa react on Nigeria’s Independence

As Nigerian marks its sixty years of Independence, a cross section of Nigerians has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to improve present security situation and bring relief to the citizenry.

The state chairman of the Christian Association in Nigeria CAN Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza and the State Chairman Muslim council Alhaji Gambo jika in an interview with ABC Yola reporter against the backdrop of the nations Independence celebration explained that the security situation in the country is getting worst.

The CAN chairman called for an overhaul of the nation’s security architecture for better way the fight against insecurities and terrorism could be succeed with result.

Bishop Mamza stressed the need for leaders to ensure justice and fairness while discharging their duties.

He called on Nigerians to continue to be united and fight corruption, with one voice.

On his part the state Chairman of Muslim council, Alhaji Gambo Jika urged Government at all levels to tackle the security challenge by providing the necessary equipment to security agencies as no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere devoid of peace.

Also speaking Reverend father Maurice Kwairanga lamented the challenges confronting the country and advise Nigerians to pray for Gods intervention.
