IMWON Numan/Demsa Presents Wrappers, Yards To 150 Orphans

In order to give orphans a sense of belonging, an Islamic organization, Initiative for Muslim Women of Nigeria (IMWON) Numan/Demsa branch on Sunday presented wrappers and yards foodstuff to one hundred and fifty orphans drawn from Numan and Demsa local governments.

The event took place at Government Secondary School Numan

In his message, Hama Batta, Humon Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke charged guardians and caregivers of orphans to ensure that such children are empowered with vocational skills rather being used for street trading and similar activities.

Represented by Sintalin Batta, Alhaji Ahmadu Yaro Ali, the royal father noted that government alone cannot cater for the needs of all citizens, hence the need to focus on vocational training of youths.

He thanked the organization for the gesture in touching the lives of benefitting orphans.

 

In his remarks, the guest speaker at the event, Professor Bello Idi of Modibbo Adama University, Yola who spoke extensively on the importance of assisting orphans enjoined Muslims to imbibe the spirit of catering for the needs of such vulnerable persons.

He noted that no society will be peaceful when orphans and other disadvantaged citizens are neglected and saluted the organization for sustaining the posture of assisting orphans.

Earlier in her welcome address, Amirah of Numan branch of the association, Hajiya Zainab Ahmad urged the people to cultivate the spirit of assisting the needy in the society.
