Hajj 2020:ADMPWB to refund deposit to intending pilgrims

Adamawa state Muslim pilgrims Welfare Board has called on this year’s intending pilgrims that wish to seek for refunds of their deposit and monies to write for the Board and get refunded.
Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Salihu who disclosed to newsmen at the Board Headquarters in Yola said, the decision followed the cancellation of this year’s Hajj for international community by the Saudi authorities to curb menace of Corona virus pandemic.
He said the board took the decision after wide consultation with stakeholders including intending pilgrims to refund the money to those who want to get their deposits back.
Alhaji Salihu urged those who want to roll-forward or leave their deposits until next years Hajj in twenty-twenty one to do so, and assured them safe of their monies.
The Executive Secretary who announced the suspension of further collection of fairs for this Hajj said those who wish to request for their money to write for the Executive Secretary of the Baord through their schedule officers between thirteen July to seven August to get refunded as the payment will commence tenth August twenty-twenty.
He explained that the application for the refundment of the money should entails photocopies of Bank drafts, two Passport size photographs,and a photocopy of the intending pilgrims e-passport data page.
According to him the board will only make refunds through bank account or Bank drafts in the intending pilgrim’s name.
The Executive Secretary reitrated commitment of the Board to operating in the interest of intending pilgrims and based on international best practices.
