General Manager Applauds Governor Fintiri Towards Implementation of COVID-19, NG -CARES

The General Manager, Adamawa State Community and Social Development Agency Professor Anthony Dami has applauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support towards the implementation of COVID-nineteen Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus NG -CARES programme in four selected local government areas in the state.

The local governments include Madagali, Michika, Hong, and Numan.

The General Manager, who stated this recently in Zaibadari of Michika and Hyema in Hong while on sensitization to communities to appraise their areas of needs, explained that the programme is designed to support communities.

He added that the visit is to ensure that activities which will be carried out under Community and Vulnerable Group Basic Services are strictly adhered which culminated into selection of projects to be executed under the D-L-I one point four.

Professor Dami stated that the four local government areas selected through the poverty map is to kick start the NG-CARES Community and Vulnerable Group Basic services Under the result Area one.

The General Manager explained that the NG-CARES programme is an emergency operation designed to support expenditures and interventions at state level, adding that the programme is targeting vulnerable and poor households, agricultural value chain, micro and small enterprises affected by the economics crises.

He stated that the key objectives of the COVID-nineteen Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus is to expand access on livelihood support and food security, adding that the community will give two percent while vulnerable group will contribute one percent for the implementation of the programme to be anchored by Community Driven Development, CDD.

He advised the benefitting communities to unite and work together for the success of the projects.

The General Manager who was touched with the display of professionalism by staff implores them to sustain the tempo.
